Activity-Based Learning at Ajji’s Learning Centre

At Ajji’s Learning Centre, we believe in making learning fun and interactive. We foster a dynamic learning environment that extends beyond traditional classroom boundaries. Our activity-based approach inspires rural children and women to think beyond traditional academics. We’ve hosted various workshops, including block printing and outdoor learning programs featuring nature walks, hikes, and rock climbing.

Expanding Our Programmes

We plan to expand these programs, inviting schools and colleges to participate in activities such as: –

– Collaborations with botanists, school children, and rural communities to exchange ideas on plants and their uses and importance in sustainable living.

– Field trips to explore foraging foods with nutritional or medicinal value, promoting sustainability, ecology, and environmental awareness.

– Clay modelling workshops guided by professional ceramicists, allowing children to express their creativity, develop their fine motor skills, and tap into their imagination.

Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”– Benjamin Franklin”

Together...

Bridging the Gap Between Urban and Rural Communities

Learning cannot happen in isolation. ALC believes that it is not enough to just provide information and knowledge or skills. The centre has a vibrant outreach programme for rural kids to interact with city kids across socio-economic strata. The various programmes ensure to bridge the gap through education and interaction. ALC has tied up with local colleges and schools as partners in education. This makes education more democratic and creates a lively environment for all. ALC also organizes talks and workshops by guest speakers, professionals and creative people. Well-known economists, visually challenged achievers and officers from the armed forces have visited the centre to engage with the students and broaden their perspective. Such interactions help ignite young minds to think beyond their limitations, hone their skills, break convention and motivate them to live a life of purpose.
